Pu'ukohola Heiau II

Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site is perhaps the most important temple complex of late prehistoric and early historic times in Hawai'i. It is from here that Kamehameha the Great established and confirmed the mana (spiritual power) necessary for his conquest of the Hawaiian Islands. Three heiau sites are in close proximity to each other here.
